Kung Hei Fat Choi.

I used to laugh at that Cantonese phrase for 'Happy New Year' as it says 'Fat Choi' and until I got married, I used to be a Choi!

If you ever need the excuse to go out for a chinese, use that excuse today! It's Chinese New Year! (And if any of you are wondering, it's the year of the Dragon!)

Or you could easily cook up some of these lush chinese recipes at home:

1. Char Siu Bao (BBQ Pork dumpling)

  1. Sorry for calling you Ruby, Rosie!
I love reading "yummy" blogs so here I am!(You make me hungry now:P)Anyways, Wishing you all the best in the year of Dragon! LOL Kung Hei Fat Choi doesnt mean Happy New Year...It's completely different from the actual meaning! I wonder who made this utter joke to you? right Kung Hei means Congratulations and Fai Choi means prosperity so if a person is prosperous he might not be happy.(makes sense right?) And the correct pronunciation should be Sun Nin Fai Lok!!
I love Chinese dumplings and turnip cakes!! I used to make them with my mummy and they were the best food I have ever ate! Do you have similar experiences as me that you did with your family that you'd never forget? [ah sorry for speaking too much :/] Sun Nin Fai Lok once again and I'm off to have Chinese buffet lunch with me friend now!! Can't wait to read your next post! Keep it up!
